Eternal Radio is a spatial social network connecting artists and fans across the globe. Virtual event spaces allows creators (musicians, DJs, filmmakers, and more) to share their work in an interactive 3D world that suits their medium. Event attendees chat and dance with their favorite artists alongside friends and other fans.

What I did:

avatar customization

• oversaw asset integration pipeline. Designer (matt welsh) drew fashion line for the avatars, contract 3D modeler Josh Claus modeled the clothing and the avatars, and I worked with Josh to setup the architecture of his models for optimal integration into our Unity system.

• Worked with Josh on the dancing animations, which were pulled from the BoilerRoom Kaytranada set to enhance the eclectic value of each player.

• Challenges: reducing file size and asset imports, integrating models in a way that backend can control what outfits are live on your networked avatar.

  
  

abstract lighting setup

• Built custom light system for our virtual club venue. We networked the multi-room venue using different instances of the same room with modular lighting depending on the event, remote configuration values, and audio in the space.

Ux of graffiti

• worked with our designer Griffin on designing the MVP of our graffiti experience.

UI upgrade + / command center

• had an idea for bringing the space to life by allowing players to interact with one another. rapidly prototyped a slash command system that allowed engineers and designers to remotely test whether people liked these interactions. users responded well once they knew the slash commands, so i built out a UI for immediately triggering these interactions.
